本プロダクトのデザインインスピレーションは、1970年代初頭のイギリスに紐付けられます。当時のモッズムーブメントの衰退と共に、反社会的な思想を持ったスキンズから派生した「スウェードヘッズ」達が台頭します。スウェードヘッズはスキンヘッズより髪をやや伸ばし、髪の質感が皮革のスウェードの様だったことからその呼び名が付けられました。
彼らは政治的思想よりも、自由解釈な意思でファッションや音楽を追求、70年代後半にはスカやロック、パンクも融合し始め様々な人種が入り交じったバンドなども続々登場しました。
自由意志が広まり、ミックスカルチャーが加速し始めたその時代のエッセンスをデザインにさりげなく取り入れ、PHINGERINらしいニッチなディテールも盛り込んでいます。当時のモッズルックのサスペンダーを意識したショルダーストラップ、極度なボックスシルエット、共生地のくるみボタン。
加えてJ.PRESS ORIGINALSらしい3つボタン段返り、センターフックベントなどの正統派なディテールも踏襲しています。各々のスタイルで、自由解釈で着こなしを楽しんでほしいブレザーです。

A new masterpiece blazer, cleverly blending traditional and street elements, is set to be released in the 20SS season.
The design inspiration for this product is rooted in early 1970s Britain. As the Mod movement began to decline, a group known as the "Suedeheads", who emerged from the anti-establishment Skinhead subculture, began to rise. Unlike the Skinheads, Suedeheads grew their hair slightly longer—earning their name from the hair’s resemblance to suede leather in texture.
Rather than aligning with political ideologies, the Suedeheads pursued fashion and music with a spirit of individual interpretation. By the late '70s, their culture began fusing with ska, rock, and punk, and bands composed of diverse ethnic backgrounds began to appear, symbolizing an era of expanding freedom and mixed cultures.
This blazer subtly incorporates the essence of that time—a period when free will and cultural fusion gained momentum—while also featuring the kind of niche detailing PHINGERIN is known for. These include shoulder straps reminiscent of suspenders from the mod look of the era, an exaggerated boxy silhouette, and covered buttons made from the same fabric.
At the same time, the blazer respects the classic tailoring of J.PRESS ORIGINALS, including features such as a three-roll-two button stance and a center hook vent.
