Continuer は、恵比寿南に位置するアイウェアを中心としたセレクトショップだ。
この日も多くの人がメガネやサングラスを手に取り、じっくりと選んでいた。
店内には一部アパレルアイテムも揃えられ、落ち着いた照明が灯るサロンのような空間が広がっている。
今回撮影を行ったのは、本店の隣にある Continuer Extra Space。

Continuer Extra Space は、イベントスペース兼ショップとして運営されており、アイウェアのほかに腕時計も取り扱っている。
ショップスタッフと会話を楽しむことができる、よりパーソナルな空間だ。
このスペースについて、PR担当の 根本茂行さん に話を伺った。
「私たちは アイウェアを単なるファッションアイテムではなく、コミュニケーションツール としても捉えています。同じ趣味やカルチャーの感覚を持つ人々が集まり、何か面白いことを発信していこうという考えがあるんです。
アイウェアを中心に、アパレルや音楽など、その周辺のカルチャーを表現していきたい。
Continuer Extra Space には腕時計も置いていますが、そもそも メガネと腕時計は親和性の高いアイテム ですからね。日本特有の兼業店スタイルを、東京でモダンな形にアップデート することを目指し、2年前にスタートしました。
専門的な分野に特化した トラッドなムード を持ちながら、新たな価値観も提案できるような、そんな実験的なスペースです。」

今回の撮影で、根本さんには J.プレスのセットアップ を取り入れたスタイリングを披露してもらった。
「僕はリアルタイムでトラッドファッションを経験した世代ではないので、どう着崩すか がポイントになってきますね。いっそ思い切って外しを入れてみてもいいかな、と。
今回のセットアップは スリムなシルエットのパンツ だったので、逆にボリューム感のあるスニーカーを合わせて、シルエットに表情をつけています。」

横須賀出身 の根本さんは、ファッションのベースに アメカジ文化 を持っている。
その精神性が、J.プレスのプロダクトと自然にマッチしたのだ。

Continuer is a select shop located in Ebisu Minami, specializing in eyewear.
On this day, many visitors were carefully selecting glasses and sunglasses.
In addition to eyewear, the store also carries a selection of apparel items, creating a salon-like atmosphere with warm and subdued lighting.
For this shoot, we visited Continuer Extra Space, located next to the main store.

Continuer Extra Space serves as both an event space and a shop, featuring eyewear and wristwatches.
It is a more personal space where customers can engage in conversations with shop staff while exploring the collection.
We spoke with Shigeyuki Nemoto, the store's PR representative, to learn more about the concept behind this space.
“We see eyewear not just as a fashion accessory but as a communication tool.The idea is to create a place where people with similar interests and cultural perspectives can gather and share something exciting.
At our core, we aim to express the culture surrounding eyewear, including apparel and music.
We also feature wristwatches at Continuer Extra Space because, naturally, glasses and watches share a strong connection.
Two years ago, we launched this space with the idea of bringing Japan’s unique multi-brand store concept into a modern Tokyo setting.
While rooted in a traditional and specialized aesthetic, it is also an experimental space that introduces new values and perspectives.”

For this shoot, Nemoto styled a J. Press suit in his own unique way.
“I didn’t grow up in the generation that experienced traditional fashion firsthand, so for me, the key is how to dress it down and make it my own.
I thought it might be interesting to add a bold contrast.
Since the suit features slim-fit trousers, I paired them with chunky sneakers to add depth and a distinctive silhouette.”

Originally from Yokosuka, Nemoto has a strong foundation in American casual fashion.
This connection naturally aligned with the J. Press aesthetic, creating a seamless and authentic look.
