新宿の歓楽街を抜けた雑居ビルの1階に位置するセレクトショップ THE FOUR-EYED。
2016年の秋にオープンし、アーティストやスタイリストが足を運ぶスポットとして知られている。ここでは、単なる服屋という枠を超え、ファッションという文化が現在どのような形で存在しているのかを肌で感じることができる。まるで世界中の最新アパレルが集まる見本市のような雰囲気が漂うショップだ。

同ショップのオーナーである 藤田佳祐氏 は、スナップカメラマンとしての経歴を持ち、エディットやスタイリングも手がけるクリエイターだ。
「僕は日々、自分自身のスタイリングや他人のファッションをコーディネートするうえで、どんなに着崩しても上品であることを心がけています。そういう意味で、J.プレスの服はトラッドなイメージが根底にあるため、気品を持たせたスタイリングを作る上で重要な要素になりますね」。

本日は、J.プレスのジャケットに股上の深いスラックス、キャップを合わせたコーディネートを披露してもらった。
「スタンダードを踏まえたうえで、それをどう着崩して自分らしく表現するか」——これがこの日のポイントだ。
日頃からスタイリングを提案する際に、藤田氏が意識するのは、“自然なこと”と“不自然なこと”を共存させ、表裏一体となるような違和感を生み出すこと。その独自の哲学が、彼のスタイルを唯一無二のものにしている。

Located on the first floor of a multi-tenant building just beyond Shinjuku’s entertainment district, THE FOUR-EYED is a select shop that has attracted attention since its opening in the fall of 2016.
A favorite among artists and stylists, the shop offers more than just clothing—it provides a space where one can experience firsthand how fashion culture exists in the present day. The atmosphere is reminiscent of a global fashion trade show, showcasing the latest apparel from around the world.

The shop’s owner, Keisuke Fujita, has a background as a snap photographer and is also a creator involved in editing and styling.
“In both my own styling and coordinating outfits for others, I always prioritize maintaining an air of elegance, no matter how much the look is dressed down. That’s why J. Press is an essential brand for me—its foundation in traditional fashion allows me to incorporate an element of sophistication into my styling.”

For today’s outfit, Fujita paired a J. Press jacket with high-waisted slacks and a cap, embodying a refined yet casual look.
“The key is to first understand the standard and then figure out how to break it down and express it in a way that feels personal.”
In his approach to styling, Fujita deliberately creates a balance between the natural and the unexpected, ensuring that both elements coexist seamlessly. This unique perspective defines his one-of-a-kind fashion philosophy.
